My washer keeps giving the message that the washer

My washer keeps giving the message that the washer wont drain. Check the lines for kinks, etc. I have removed the back of the washer, checked the pump and all of the drain hoses, there is no blockage. The machine is approx 5 yrs old. I remove the hose from the drain pipe and empty in bucket. The machine appears to be having difficulty moving the water out. It has to be at a downward slope to drain. When the machine goes into the drain mode it makes a humming sound.
