So confused

Open your browser after modem and router are connected and type 192.168.1.1. Next type admin in both windows. This will take you to setup. You can complete your new configurations there. If you are running multiple computers I recommend you power all of them up and do the same. REMEMBER: each time you complete a page in this sequence you MUST click "SAVE SETTINGS".

There is also a firmware upgrade under "Administration".

For Wlan adapter is not necessary to use the software of the Linksys, it can removes it and to leave the Windows to manage its connection. :)
