Replacement power supply - can i convert AC to DC output connector?

I'm not clear on the four pins of the DC power supply for the speakers. Do you think there two different voltages needed??? It's not worth trying to convert your ac power supply/ It would take a few parts and you will not end up with 18 vdc. You can purchase a 18 v dc adapter for as little as 15.00.

Speakers not working due to 12v ac/dc conector needed to be wiggled to work and now dont work at all , help a brother out

Hello interknitcol,

Welcome, and thank you for using FixYa!

If I was there, I wuold repair this for you in 30 minutes or less! LOL
Your issue is that the subwoofer will need to be taken apart and then have the AC Jack attached to the Power Supply Board re-soldiered to the board. No big deal.
You may be able to find a TV Repair Shop near you that can do it for $25.00 or less.

Have a great day!

How to I install Benwin 3d surround and subwoofer speaker to my PC

You should be able to plug them into your sound card. If an adapter is needed, they can be found at almost any electronics store.

Output voltage of 120volt AC brick & approx dimensions

Any PC speakers that have a AC plug pak attached can probably use 12V simply cut off the AC plug packs lead that goes to the speakers, and connect up 12V ya should be good to go.. some connect with a Phono Plug, and usually the Outer is Minus Voltage and the Centre is Plus Voltage .. they are also generally Diode protected so a reversal shouldn't cause too many probs... Video upload....

well, the connector that comes from the 2nd speaker goes into the speaker port in the back of the first speaker.

The wierd cord possibly fits into the 12v dc slot in the back.. and the other end would go to a power adapter..

Seems you are missing a power adapter,, like you said earlyer.

Basically you would need a standard power adapter which fits into the speaker.

You could get some universal power adapter for it like

something to this direction

If you want to make sure you get the right kind of power apdater
Try contacting jbl directly

I was looking around ebay, found this

Theres the power adapter in the middle, I think the odd cord goes to the back of the first speaker and the other end would go to a power adapter.. try contacting jbl they should be able to get you what you need.

Seems you have everything else you need except for the power adapter.
