Question about Televison & Video
Hi, 26" LCD TV was working fine, but is now stuck on standby with a red light on. The side buttons do not work, and I lost the remote a while ago and am having to use a universal which doesn't have all the usual functions. Is is likely to be some type of lock feature? or am I likely to have to take it to a repair shop.
Thanks in advance
Just unplug unit from the mains and plug back in

Hi I had the same problem with my LT-26C31BJE. The TV just stuck in standby mode. If you tried to turn it on, it seemed like it tried to power up, but then reverted back to standby.
I solved it this way. I took the back off the TV (unplugged of course) and made sure all visible contacts were home (they all seemed to be). Also to the right of where the power lead enters the box there is a small fuse, 250V 6.3 W. I replaced this fuse and the TV now works fine.
