For Toshiba Satellite Go to control panel>Hardware & Sound>Mouse>Device Settings Tab... go down to where there is a box to check that says something like "Disable touch pad when external mouse is connected." At least that's the way it is for mine.
Hope that helps.

Internal mouse? if you mean the touch pad or that red ball thing thats in the middle of our keyboard, then i don't think you can turn those off. try going to Start>Control Panel>Printers and other hardware. maybe the option will be in there. if you want to use a wireless you need the USB "thing" and plug it in your laptop. you might have to put in a CD and install it first.

Connect my leeds 1690 wireless mouse to my laptop

hi Shon.
Connecting a Mouse with a Wireless Receiver.
1
Plug in your mouse's receiver. The receiver should fit into one of your computer's USB ports. You can typically find USB ports, which are thin, rectangular slots, on the sides of laptops and on the front of desktops' CPU boxes.
  • Plugging in the receiver before turning on the mouse will allow your computer to install any drivers or software needed to use the mouse.
Make sure that your mouse has batteries. To do so, you'll typically flip the mouse over and remove a tray on the bottom, though some mice instead have their batteries in a compartment in the back of the mouse.
  • If you haven't used the mouse in several months, consider replacing the batteries even if they were new when you inserted them.
  • Some mice, such as the Apple Magic Mouse 2, require charging instead of new batteries.
  • 3
Turn on your mouse. This typically involves manipulating a button on the bottom of the mouse, though you may need to look for the On/Off switch on the side of the mouse.
    • If you can't find the On/Off button, consult your mouse's manual.
    4
Press your mouse's "Connect" button. This button's location will vary based on your mouse's developer, but you'll usually be able to find this button either between the two mouse buttons or on the mouse's side.
    • Some mice come listed as "plug and play", meaning that you don't need to manually connect them or download any software.
    5
Move your mouse around. Once you see the cursor begin to move on-screen, your mouse is connected.
    • If your mouse doesn't start moving, try turning it off and then back on. If applicable, you may also want to change the USB port into which the receiver is plugged.
this link will help you out some more if you need it.

I have a zx4351, touch sreen wireless gateway desk top computer , i had cable co. today to hook it and now my screen does not turn on and has no power going to it what is it?

Your desktop tower/cpu tower has to be turned on to give those hardware power. If you can't turn on your computer then that means you have an internal problem with your motherboard etc. If everything else powers up except for the screen/monitor your video is dead. Find someone you know that has an extra monitor and hook it up to your tower, if it works then it's not your video but the monitor instead.

namastey!

*clean the bottom of a mouse and if the lens gets dirty wipe it with the soft dampened cloth
* replace the batteries
*Reinstall wireless drivers. If your mouse came with a CD, re-insert it into your computer's disc drive and install all software and drivers.Disable internal transceiver. If your wireless mouse connects to an internal Bluetooth transceiver, disable it using the Bluetooth utility in the Control Panel, and then re-enable it after a few minutes. Then try connecting your wireless mouse.

Wireless mouse won't work, have replace battery, rebooted laptop removed and replaced mouse connection etc. Was working fine until yesterday

Is it not working at all or is it moving erratically across the screen? If it doesn't seem to be working at all, turn off your mouse then unplug the receiver's USB cable from the laptop for about 5-10 seconds then plug it in to another USB port. It may detect a new device, just let it do the automatic installation if it asks. You should here a 'tada' or ding sound when it is plugged in. When installation is completed or about 10 seconds after you hear the sound, turn your mouse back on.

If it still doesn't work, try shutting down your laptop completely instead of just rebooting it.

If it still doesn't work after that, make sure you have a spare USB mouse available then uninstall the software for your wireless mouse or mouse/keyboard combo then reinstall it.

This may seem like a dumb question but I just got a wireless mouse today and it works fine. The thing is I see no turn off for it. How do I turn this thing off so it is not running my batteries down when...

In theory the mouse uses very little current until it detects rf from its receiver when the computer turns on.
The batteries always need to be in to maintain it's pairing identity with the receiver. Welcome to the world of waste! That's why I use a wired mouse. more eco freindly

Add a mouse

Yes.

Most wireless mice come with a small wireless USB dongle that you plug into a USB port.

If your laptop supports bluetooth, you can get a bluetooth mouse, and you wont need to plug anything into your USB port.

Have a look at the logitech nano mouse.

Can i use another mouse with this bundle?

Yes, you can purchase a wireless mouse with its own receiver and install it. It should work fine. Also you can use a PS2 wired mouse with it and it shouldn't conflict with each other.
Hope this helps. Bud

Bought an optical mouse today when i turn off the computer it still stays lite. how do i fix this.item #81250NS

The model of mouse (SAKAR 81250NS) you have has fancy external lighting, but should get its power from the computer's PS2 port , so unless the mouse has its own internal battery for keeping itself lit up, your computer is not actually turning off, but perhaps just going into power save mode. I am not that familiar with that mouse brand, but to check if it has its own internal battery, shut down the computer all the way and then unplug the computers power cord. If the mouse still is lit up, then your computer is not the problem.
