Washer fills with water, but when it moves on to the cycle, the motor is moving, but it sounds like something is stopping it from moving, and when i put it on spin only it drains the water and works perfectly

under the agitator there is a bell coupling with splines on it. it could be that this piece is worn and not meshing with the transmission to properly move it.
