No Water The ice maker works but I can't get water to flow from the door. Water flows as far as the bottom of the door where the water hose connects.

I am having the same problem. Our fridge is 3 years old and out of the blue the water is not working although the ice is still being made and dispensed. If the water line is frozen in the freezer door, doesn't it make sense to defrost the freezer and then turn it back on once the water starts working? Has anybody tried that or should I just be asking where to buy a door?

For just a freezing line - After replaceing the solenoid at the back of the unit I got this same problem - I found that the door kept freezing up the line - This may have been the problem that caused the solenoid to burn out - After reading many blogs I considered taking the door off the unit and placing it in the attic (Prolonged Dry Heat) to not only thaw out but dry out the inerdoor insulation that was freezing because it had become saturated with water leaking past the spill tray under the water spout - Right before launching into the project I decided to try taking a smaller diameter plastic line from and old O2 Nasal Canula and with my wife holding one end to force water through it, push the other end up into the spout above the lever bar - After feeding it in about 12" the hot water flowing through the outer tube thawed and now I have water flowing again - I don't know how long before it freezes again but this seams to work - jas Bastrop Tx

The root of this problem seems to be that the tray under the water spout occasionally fills with water and then leaches into the insulation inside of the door - This takes a long time and from what I can see you cannot take the door apart other than snapping off the front plastic trim - Thawing the door is not enough - I still think that removing the door and placeing it in a very hot attic for a few weeks would dry it out - I also am considering modifieing the lower tray with some kind drain - Even if the water dribbles out the fron of the door at least it won't satureate the door insulation - And this is another example of poor design not necasarrly a manufacutureing defect... - jas Bastrop Tx

You may have a problem with a frozen water line inside the freezer door.  There is a heating element that keeps that water line from freezing but it apparently has failed.  It is not serviceable.  The whole door has to be replaced.

SOURCE: water will not flow into ice maker

This could be 2 reasons for this The water control valve on back for the ice maker is defective or the thermostat inside the ice maker is defective. You can pore water into an empty ice maker and let it freeze. If it cycles and does not refill with water I would say that the water control valve is defective. Your refrigerator has 2 dual water control valves one is for the water filter assembly the one on the back is part number 61005626
Let me know what you find, Thanks sea Breeze click link below and enter model or part number in search feature.

Sounds like you have a problem with water valve/triple solenoid assembly. It controls the flow of water to the door and ice maker. I believe it comes as a complete unit.

No water no ice

Change the=> 67006531 Water Inlet Valve I believe the side of your 67006531 Water Inlet Valve that controls water flow to the ice maker has weakened and cannot open properly. Replace the water valves and I believe the ice maker will work fine, Sea Breeze

The water in the door does not flow very fast, it takes a while to fill a cup.

The water supply hose that taps into your water supply behind the fridge is very small. It provides water to your ice maker and drinking. The water flow was designed to fill up the ice maker at a specific rate according to the timer wheel, and to reduce splash on the ice maker, which would freeze on the rotating parts and stop your ice maker.

Water dispenser not working

I have a Hitachi R-M800GM.

When i operate the water dispenser, water flows out from the dispenser [not strong flow]. There is also water flowing out at the bottom of the freezer door [hinge area]

I think the line running inside the freezer door may have come loose? If so, how to reattach it? Do u have any layout drawings of how the hose is being connected.

Please help.

Icemaker working water not coming through

make sure the ice maker over flow bar is in the down position. if it is up it will cut off the water flow untill the level of ice is reduced. The other possibility is the filter is clogged. If neither of these correct the problem you may have a bad coil on the inlet valve for the water line as it comes into the refrigerator.

Water does not flow through the dispenser

sounds like the sensors are playing up causing the bottom of the fridge to freeze, this will also cause the water reservior to freeze thus no water to the ice tray and water dispensor. do a full defrost then see if you gain back all the functions proving the sensor fault.

Water wont flow into LG LX259602b ice maker

You may have a bad water valve.  The valve has 2 sections, one for the water dispenser and the other for the ice maker.  Check those connections in the back of the refrigerator.  If everything is ok, replace the water valve.

Water doesnt stop after ice tray is filled

there is a micro switch in the ice maker motor module that shuts power off to the ice-maker water valve when the ice maker is full but i rarely see them go bad this is the easy way to deal with it pull the unit out unplug both the valves and turn the water on a sec if its running in the ice maker with the valves are unplugged then replace the valves if its not replace the ice-maker motor module

Cant seem to get the Icemaker working

Mungah, There is no valve that needs to be turned on. The water travels through the valve into the filter and up to the ice-maker. Try pressing the water lever and stay on it until the water fills the filter and comes out. You should hear the valve energizing. The ice maker cycles every 2.5 hrs. approx. When it calls for water it may take several cycles to prime the line and fill the ice maker...As far as the leak, something is wrong with that compression connection, re-do it and see if it back.
