We have a 1999 hitachi ultravision 50ux58b that just recently stopped working. Just wondering if you could help us find the problem befor we buy a new one.

1999 unit stopped working after a power surge. Will not power up at all. Lights and no clues from the Manual. I need suggestions for repairs and if it is worth the expense. Had a service tech out to no avail. He left scratching his head.
