Does late model chevy vehicles alternator charge a dead battery or does it just maintain it. I pull a trailer will it charge the battery on the trailer?

A four pin trailer wire won't charge it. But the bigger one ( I believe a seven pin/ round connector) will if it is wired right. You would need a 10 gauge wire to feed the B+ side of the trailer battery from the alternator. Also make sure the ground is good.

Sony vaio not charging while charger plugged in

Seemingly your laptop dc jack is dead. How to confirm it? If you should wiggle your laptop charger on a position to let your laptop charge, it indicates your dc jack is loose. Either replace it or repair it. If your dc jack works well, please check your ac adapter. Maybe your charger is dead.

I always get plugged in not charging when i charge my laptop even when it is not fully charged

If the laptop works fine off the power cord without any problems then your power cord is ok, but if the battery is not charging then the battery is probably dead and needs to be replaced. Batteries only have a useful life, and when it's over they have to be replaced.

If the laptop does not work with the power cord then either the power cord is bad or the DC Power Jack where the power cord plugs into the laptop. If either of them is bad the battery will not charge.

Check your DC Power Jack which is where the power cord plugs into the computer. Take an ink pen and push the tip inside the jack and see if the little pin wiggles, if so the jack is bad. You'll have to take the laptop apart to fix it. Most times it is soldered onto the motherboard, so you will have to desolder the old and solder a new one.

Laptop battery light won't stay on

The battery might be dead. Batteries only have a useful life and after that they have to be replaced.

Does your laptop work ok off the AC Adapter Power Cord? If so, your battery is dead and your power cord is good. If the laptop does not work off the Power Cord then either your Power Cord is bad or the DC Power Jack where the power cord plugs into the laptop is bad. In either case a good battery will not charge if the power cord or the DC Jack is bad.

I downloaded Windows Advisor on my computer to see if my HP Pavilion a620n could support Windows 7. It told me that my Graphics Driver would not support Windows 7. (the it also told me that my Graphi

that PC is now retired. its no longer supported. (retired says HP)
just asked for you.
i went to the advisor page and it show no support for any A620
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers
shows no support exists. period.
this PC is why over 10 years old
and has PATA hard drives, (long off tooth old)
and AGP slot for adding video, empty right?

there are many Net frames , not one. most PC to run may apps
need most of those not just 1 or 2. a fact.

most good apps that needs netframe ,ver.x loads it first .
facts.

WHAT that is the VIA thing.
i dug and dug and found a data sheet on a620n
hard to find it. but seems that is the ON BOARD Video chips
(GPU) used by HP, on board mother board, and jack same place.
its not a AGP slot card.
rumor has it (google)
A7V8X-LA (Kelut) mobo , 13 years old , it is.
uses, KM400a and VT8237 chips from VIA
the km400a drives the VGA jack and the AGP slot.
per this page
https://www.viatech.com/en/silicon/legacy/chipsets/km400a/

to there, click support click drivers
oops there never ways a w7 driver, for KM400
that means whom ever put w7 there, , killed the video dead.
doing that bad act.

your PC came new with what. XP ! never w7
so someone put on W7, id bet cash they did not use HP windows 7 media kit to do that, so that means the whole OS is not supported by HP, now. and for sure the card.

that leaves you with only these possibilities
1: only microsoft can help ever use device manager? and up date mode there, and be connected to the internet.?
this is 100% MS, plug and play mode , zero HP help here\
this all fails because Via never produced this drive..

2: go to VIA and get it from the chip maker.(did and fails)

4: buy new AGP card at say Newegg and make sure its w7 supported?
5: go to HP forum we are not them. and beg for your driver.

your not the first to ask.

Power issue Toshiba Satellite m35x-s161

Unfortunately there are many sellers of DC jacks for your model and several others. Some of these people sell sub-standard DC jack replacements which are not designed for your laptop, but will fit in the same hole. If the mount points for your DC jack didn't fit the same pattern as your original one then it simply is not the right jack for your laptop. You can suffer issues such as improper grounding, voltage applied to ground and vice versa with some severe consequences. This can damage not only your charging circuit, but may well cause your battery to overheat and rupture. Remember, that not all DC jacks are designed the same way, In fact most manufacturers design their jacks as different from the competition as possible, whether this is their intent or not is irrelevant. Your Dc Jack, however suffers from the dreaded floating pin problem. The main bullet type pin you see at the middle of your jack tends to separate and spin freely, and can be repaired by simply soldering the pin mount on the back. Try repairing the pin on your original jack and reinstalling until a new jack can be found and I'd be willing to bet your problem goes away.

Charging jack

I had the exact same problem and unless you know how to open up the phone and solder the connections back, which by the way are micro in size, the phone is pretty much dead. I had to take mine in and swap it out it still barely had a warranty. Try looking up a local electronics repair shop who might be able to help, good luck.
