Hello, I somehow engaged a Demo mode on My Denon DVD-2200 and can't seem to get out. When I push a remote, display shows that it's in demo mode and none of the button works. Help... please.... thanks. Peter
Just try to initialize THE plager again.
Without cd in the player switch on the power while pressing the Play, Open and Next Track button.
On the display it says " initialized" Ready.

Just bought an ex-demo BD65 bluray player and the shop have left their demo blu-ray in it, when I press eject it says 'lock' on the display read the manual but no luck and I can't get hold of the shop as they are engaged all the time, any ideas
follow directions from the owners manual. while unit is powered up, unplug power cord from back of unit - wait 5-seconds. Depress the DVD open/close button while re-plugging the power supply cord to the unit. LG splash appears onscreen and unit goes into re-set. you do not loose any of you programing or settings.
Okay. I found that there IS a manual release for the disc tray UNDERNEATH the unit. It is a sort of toggle lever that you have to slide to the other side and that releases the disc. The Manual does not even mention this manual release lever!
Also, it may be hidden or covered by a paper like cover.
I have had the same problem. After disassembling and refitting the buttonpanels and it's connectors the problem was solved. Does not seem like a repair but in my case it still works for about two years now

Check the communication between the digital board and the hard disk drive by querying the device type of the device type of the hard disk. The Hard drive 282206200034 is no $399.80 available from partstore.com which you can just drop in since it is formatted. If you can find a hard disk which is rare due to the small size no one buys, it can be formatted to just drop it in.You will need the hard drive ( 120GB ATA), the PC communication cable 312278590017 $22.75 and the Service DVD 312278590710 $36.96 which will allow you to format the hard disk for the unit. I would do this for you but you might have other problems with the system which can only be found with more diagnostics after the drive is installed. Or it could be a drop in and go. For the unit which is stuck in trade (demo) mode, Unplug the unit. Simultaneously hold the Stop + Open close while plugging in the unit.
