Changed lenses on my Nikon D2X and the viewfinder is now dark. When I unlock the fstop ring and open it up the viewfinder lightens. Lens is Nikon AF 80-200 2.8 How do I get the viewfinder back the way it should be?
Take the lens off and look at the front of the camera body...on the left side ( 9 0'clock position ) is the stop down lever. Check if it looks bent to the side. It's pretty flimsy and can get bent out of shape. The top of that lever needs to be horizontal to catch the lens post.
If the lever is lower than the 9 0clock position, the substrate unit needs to be replaced.

I have a Nikon D60 and my autofocus has stopped working. It is not because of the lense because i have tried other lenses and the auto focus won't work with them either so it must be an issue with the body.
