As for blocked, are you saying that the buttons wont acess the screen or is the display messed up. If it is locked it can be unlocked. Can you print out anything from it? Let me know, we work on the FS printers all the time. Russ

Re: i have a problem with kyocera fs9100

Is there any error messages on the control panel? It is very easy to access the control panel all you have to do is press menu the the up and down arrows to wherever you need to go. The only this that may work is to remove the network card (Of which I'm sure this model has a removable one) then try accessing the control again.

(Be sure that the machine is off when you remove the network card)

If this works then the chances are that you have a faulty network card.

Hope this is of some help

Hi, how to whrite a command to set my printer that is not connected to any network and i only have an USB calbe.thank you

before you connect anything to a computer with an USB cable, you have to install the software that came with the device. No software, no working device. That is all. When you lost the CD, you could try on the support page from Kyocera, if they can help you with the correct software and drivers.

I get error 'Unable to find destination PC-Check the PC' on Kyocera Mita

This error means that there is a communication problem between the printer and the computer that is receiving scanned file. The error is usually prompted on network installed printers.

Check to ensure that the Scanner File Utility software is running and the computer is able to receive data.
Try restarting the computer and printer. Disconnect both units from power supply for five minutes before restarting.
Check if you have firewall or security software active on computer that can block communication from scanner. Ensure that the scanner utility is listedas an exception on firewall settings, if the application is not present, then you need to add it to allowed applications list.
Ensure that you have granted Scanner Utility access to system resources if asked.
Reinstall printer software and driver on PC. This can be done either using the disk provided with the printer, or using the download from Mita website.
Test the computer network cable. If cable is worn it can cause communication errors. This problem is usually occurring on LAN (network) printer installation. If using local installation via USB, then test using a different USB cable. If USB cable is damaged or too long (over 10 m.) , then you may get the error stated on local installation.

The most common reason for this problem is firewall settings or network problems. Network problems may be difficult to troubleshoot. Remember also that there is a built in firewall in the router resident software. If the router is set to block inbound communication from printer to computer, or if printer and computer are in two different IP ranges (eg. and, then you may get communication between computer and printer blocked by router firewall.

Here a setup manual (click to download), also ensure that you have performed scanner setup correctly.

Network printing problem

A couple of possibilities you can try:
1. Use the installer CD on the other 2 PCs as well. When prompted, instruct installer that the printer is on a network; and/or
2. Use the parallel connection instead of the USB (or the other way around); and/or
3. Un-check the auto turn-off of USB devices in the Power Management tab of the USB Root Hub Properties.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
