Question about GPX MW3837 MP3 Player

2 Answers

No power I received the mp3 player as a gift. I opened the pkg tuesday, it was working fine, a friend helped to sync 18 songs onto the player, and it charged (for 3 hrs ) until the battery bar showed full and i took it off of the usb cable. {later found out that it needed atleast 8 hrs of charging but that info wasn't given by the instruction manual i received} I listened to about 3 songs and turned it off. Yesterday (wednesday) i played about 3 songs and turned it back off. Today i wanted to add more songs, but it will not come on at all. i checked the Hold toggle button, i tried pressing the play button for a few seconds, i tried connecting my usb cable to it that came with it to see if it just needed to be charged - nothing happens. (No backlight, no sound, and it's not being recognized when connecting it to the computer) ** tried to call the phone number provided, says office is closed. tried contacting via email - they first send an instructional video that didnt help what so ever, and then told me to connect it to the computer and let it charge for up to 12 hrs. Even after i explained. Any suggestions?

I have got the exact same problem with my MP3 player not powering on or charging. It worked just fine when I first got on Christmas. It stopped after I downloaded some songs.

Re: Model MW3837 - I don't recall if the battery was charged when I bought these as gifts for my kids, but they charge via the mini-USB port (either from connecting to your computer or aftermarket charger) in about an hour or so. Once I knew the battery had to be fully charged, it would only display 'HOLD' and 'BYE' when I tried to turn it on. Then I realized the 'HOLD' switch was on. After I set that switch to 'off', it powered up and played like it was supposed to.

Hope this helps...

I am having the exact same problem. I put songs on the MP3 player and it hasn't worked since. I'm not getting any help or support. If you find out what the problem is, please contact me. This is is so disappointing to buy a Xmas present that doesn't work!

How do I delete pictures from my sony walkman nw z 405?

There are two sets of solutions that you may need to apply.
1) Disable Auto-Sync in Windows Media Player. This is how the songs may have been loaded in the first place. Connect your mp3 player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Run the mouse over the "Sync" tab - a black arrow should appear - click on the arrow. Click the option that says "Set Up Sync" and uncheck the box that says "Sync Devices Automatically".
2) Delete songs using Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Find the songs that are loaded onto your mp3 player by clicking the icon that represents your mp3 player. Highlight the songs by left-clicking a song once, and press "Delete" on your computer's keyboard.

Good luck!

I have been able to sync mine, though it wouldn't transfer some songs. It would sit there trying to convert it but wouldn't. So I tried the alternate way to get them on. I just did a drag and drop and all the songs played fine. I just had to be sure to hold the play/hold/stop button for about six seconds before it would turn on.
BTW all of the songs including the ones windows wanted to convert played fine this way.

I cant delete any songs off of a MyMusix PD-6110 MP3 player....

Q: How do I delete songs from the PD-6110?
A :The songs only can deleted through your PC. If you use Windows Media Player 10, go to the Sync window and select the songs that should show up under the 'Music' folder tree on the right side of the window and select the songs you want to delete and press the 'delete' key on your keyboard. With Windows Media Player 11, Open the 'MP3 Player' tree on the left side of the window then select 'Songs' from the list. Then select the songs you want to delete and press the 'delete' key on your keyboard. You can also open the 'Removable Disk' under 'My Computer' and delete the songs from there.

INSIGNIA MP3 PLAYER

I had this problem also and I think I figured it out because now my music will play. I took the songs I had from limewire, highlighted them all and clicked "save as", opened it with windows media player and on wmp I took my playlist and named it on there....first I synched the songs under "sync" and they would upload on my player but they would NOT play. I got the same stupid error message. So after they were uploaded onto my mp3 player, i dragged all of the songs onto the right side to make a sync list AGAIN and clicked start sync, all of the files said "already on device" so I kind of got mad thinking it still didn't work...when I unplugged it and tried to play the song, they ACTUALLY PLAYED. I fought with this for so long and contemplated about throwing the stupid thing down the toilet but for whatever reason, synching it in two different ways in that order, it worked and it stopped saying "error:can't open this file"...hope this works for you and anyone else having this problem because I know how frustrating this got for me. hope this helps. Good luck!!!
