I need to repair the on button that is connected

i need to repair the on button that is connected to the mother board, i just cant figure out how to remove the outer shell to get to the mother board and switch on my compaq eva n610c notebook pc. can you help?
maybe i should explane that i can expose the inside of the conputer but i can not expose the on switch and the place it is connected to the motherboard. that is what i need help with.
