My mom just purchased a Mitsubishi tv and it had no remote with it. It was a used tv that was bought at a auction. She has several universal remotes, however she does not have the code that she needs to program the remote. Thank You

I bought the same TV yesterday and I've used code 1065 to program my sky remote, which worked fine. It's thanks to the answer relating to Mitsubishi and TiVo cos I used a Mitsubishi code!! Hope it works for you.
mitsubishi 45605 . I bought a universal remote and it wont respond anymore. I tryied reprogram and it wont take the old code or any code. I bought a new remote and it wont respond
Press and hold down the up volume button on the original remote, look at the light (led) on the remote, the light should be lit and slightly pulsing.
If no pulse your remote is bad, if you are seeing the pulse try cleaning the ir window on front of tv.

The origional remote is no longer available. However you can get the phillips universal remote at the following link. This is one of the best universal remotes available and easiest to program and will work 3 different items. This company ships for free http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
Program the remote with the code/codes provided by the remotes manufacturer until you find the one that gives you the functions that you desire, or you could look for the OEM remote from the manufacturer of the TV or on an auction site. A lot of times the universals won't perform all the functions that the original one does. Good Luck.
NOT A SOLUTION, however my remote stopped working a couple months ago. I subsequently tried several universal remotes - none of these worked. An educated guess might be that the problem is NOT with the remote control unit, but rather something inside the set itself. This might also explain why the MW24FM1 you bought "didn't come with a remote".
