Noteboop Dell Inspiron 1501


I can scroll on my note pad but I can not click on it, I have to click on the key by the note pad to make contact.

I have gone on Cotrol panel, click on system properties, then hardware, then Device Manager, then on Mice and other pointing devices, then on Synaptics PS/2 Port touch pad and deleted it.
After that it worked for a while then it quit again.

This all happened after I clicked on a window on the bottom left corrner of the bar, I small window came up and it made a funy swerls of picture which was colored.

Can you help.

Reboot your system to safe mode and uninstall all the unwanted application. rebooting safemode press "F8" and the start.


control panel
add and remove program
select the unwanted program then remove it.
until and so on to the other unwanted.

after then, do what you have done about your PS2

How do I access the factory restore?

Hi! I assume you know the admin password! Then:
1.Start the computer.
2.As the computer starts, press the F8 key until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen.
3. Press the (Down Arrow) to select Repair Your Computer on the Advanced Boot Options menu, and then press Enter.
4.Specify the language settings that you want, and then click Next.
5. Log in as a user who has administrative credentials, and then click OK.
6. Click Dell Factory Image Restore.
7.In the Dell Factory Image Restore window, click Next.
8Click to select the check box for Yes, reformat hard drive and restore system software to factory condition.
9.Click Next. The computer is restored to the default factory configuration.
10.When the restore operation is completed, click Finish to restart the computer.

My dell inspiron 560 wont recognize any disc it acts like nothings in it how do i fix it?

Check Device Manager in Safe Mode by pressing F8 during boot. Right click My Computer > Manage. Select Device Manager > View > Show Hidden Devices. Now delete all DVD/CD-ROMs and reboot. Windows will say "New Hardware Found" and install. Check BIOS by pressing F key (correct F key is noted during boot) and make sure BIOS see's the Optical Drive.

I need to reset my Dell Inspiron 530S back to factory settings. Can someone tell me how to go about doing this?

  • Turn off the computer, wait a few seconds and then turn it back on. As the computer starts up, press the F8 key until you see the "Advanced Boot Options" menu appear.
  • Select the "Repair Your Computer" option and press the "Enter" key.
  • Click the "Next" button, log in with your Administrator username and password and click the "Dell Factory Image Restore" option.
  • Click "Yes, reformat hard drive and restore system software to factory condition" and click the "Next" button.
  • Click the "Finish" button. The computer will restart in its original factory condition.k

  • Note: Kindly back up all necessary documents before starting restoration as it would be deleted.

    Memory card slot

    The Dell Inspiron 531s does not come with a memory card reader slot.

    This is Dell's specifications on the Inspiron 531s,

    Left-click on the Tech Specs tab.

    You could use a memory card reader that attaches to any of the computers USB ports.
    Here is an example,

    please tell us more about your drive. is it a DVD-RW or DVD+RW or +/-? note that + and - symbols, that's important, cos a DVD-RW can't write to a DVD+RW disc, but a DVD+/-RW can write to both.
