camera will not allow to set date time etc. Ok button Does not respondo

I just need to know how to set the time and date on my Canon PowerShot A520.
Can't find my manual and need this help today for legal documentation.

My PowerShot A530 will not retain the time as well. You can set the time, but as soon as the camera is turned on and off it requests that you set it again.

Every time I turn my camera on, I have to reset the date, time ect. It just started doing that. It says OK is set, so when I finish I push OK and when I turn it back on, I need to reset it again.

Bought a new a720is Canon camera. Can't get the date and time to set and stay set.
ApprenticeWorried about sending back for warranty, I thought I would check it out myself, I opened battery cover, removed AA batteries, removed
lithium date/time battery which exposed 2 finger type electrical contacts which I gently pulled out very slightly with a paper clip shaped like small hook, this gave enough tension to contact lithium battery and has worked ok since. Maybe this will work for you too.
