With the CD in the drive and using explorer, go to the CD drive and look for Setup.exe.

Double-click on that file and it will start the install procedure.

I have a Dell Inspiron computer and when I put the program cd/dvd in to install it, nothing happens. Help!

Gently clean the CD with a cloth with no paper fibers. Like a baby spit up rag, is a good example. Insert the disc and if doesn't start go to it directly through your my computer and start it manually. Or if you are doing from scratch press F12, and it will boot from Cd and press enter.

Trying to install the software for Microsoft Lifecam 1.4

If you're installing a USB webcam don't connect a cable before installing drivers. So, run setup from CD continue with install sometimes in the middle of installation it asks you to connect webcam to USB, do it and finish setup. If it's not asking you to connect Webcam, first finish setup and than connect Webcam. Good Luck!

Web cam installation

First, try going to MY COMPUTER(start menu)
then double click your CD DRIVE(or DVD drive if this applys to you)
if it starts an installer, then your set!
if it shows contents, open a file like SETUP or INSTALL
if it gives you an error, take out the disk, and go to this site:,en

Download the software, and install it(This is the same as the CD, only probably updated)
