How do I put an apple laptop ibookG4 back into normal mode

Restart holding down: command option O and F. Keep holding down those 4 keys until you see text on a light background. At the end of the text will be 'release keys to continue'. Release the 4 keys and type: reset-nvram hit return, then type: set-defaults hit return, then type: reset-all and hit return. The iBookG4 should restart with all default settings restored.

I have a a Lexmark Wheelwriter 3500 and it has the delayed printing function, well this does not seem to be working correctly it is typing before it should. what can i do to correct this problem?

If it types as you press the kets delay print is turned off, press the print mode key on the r
R. side until Dl prt is on the display. If it just starts typing at a the same position every time you probably have the R. margin set there and auto return on (CODE R).

When typing the letter don't appear

If they don't print until you hit the return key you are in the delay print mode, use the print mode key on the R. side to get out of it. If it isn't printing at all the plastic print solenoid cap is broken. We sell them with shipping and instructions for 20.00.

Forgot password to ibook

If you're running Jaguar, and you know your short user name (the same as your home folder name) you can do the following.

1) boot into single user mode (boot holding Apple + S)
2) type "fsck -y" and hit enter/return
3) repeat step 2 until it says that "The volume [your hard drive name] appears to be OK"
4) type "mount -uw /" and hit enter/return (this mounts the hard drive)
5) type "SystemStarter" and hit enter/return (this will start up quite a bit, including NetInfo, which is what you need)
6) type "passwd YOURUSERNAME" and hit enter, where YOURUSERNAME is your short user name
7) enter your password, and hit enter (you won't see it typing)
8) verify your password, and hit enter (again, you won't see it being typed)
9) type "reboot" and hit enter

Your password will now be what you just set it to. Depending on how your friend changed your password, you may have trouble getting into your keychain, because it will still be what he/she changed it to, but at least you'll have access to your computer.

I have a g 4 and can not remember my password

restart your computer. When the first white screen comes up, hold down command+s keys. the screen will change to white on black and some code writing will load. DONT FREAK OUT OR PRESS ANYTHING UNTIL AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN IT SAYS "root". then type in exactly:"/sbin/mount -uw /" hit return once then type in "passwd [username]" and hit return. where it says "type in new password" type in the password u want. hit return and retype the password. hit return one more time and wait for the codes to say "root". then type in "exit" and hit return. the computer should continue to start up and u should be able to log in.
