Re: connecting to computer introduction disc

So you mean the Cd wont work? well the cd doesn't have much , you can download it from the philips website(go to and search in the exact model number, on the side of your mp3 where the usb connection is and there might be the cd software) Thogth the cd might have the deivce manger which you might need like I do for repaering.

To whoever can help...I have a Sony, RCD W10. I am receiving 2 error codes when I proceed to record a cd. Error code C13 and C14. Does anyone know what this might mean? Simply frustrated

They are what you call fault codes. A fault code provides a machine-readable identifier that can be used to programmatically identify the error condition and respond as appropriate

Trying to add 4 GB microSDHC card to sandisk sansa e260. connect e260 to computer via USB. insert micro card. computer does not recognize microcard. why?

The player automatically connects to the computer in Media Transfer Protocol mode (MTP mode).
For accessing the microSD card in the player, the USB connection in the player has to be set to MSC mode, see:

How to change USB mode for the e200 series, proceed as next:
1. From the Main Menu, select Settings > USB Mode.
2. Select Auto Detect, MTP or MSC.

My sony nwe005f is not getting detected as a USB device all of a sudden. How should i proceed?

Try connecting it into another computer. If it still not detected, try using another USB cable to isolate the problem.

If the same problem occurs after connecting into another computer and after using another USB cable, then this device needs to be reformat. Last is to replace the memory card in it.

Have a great day!

It will not turn on

First, make sure the "Hold" button is not engaged on the side of the player. If it is not engaged, hold in the "+" button on the front of the Mp3 player before connecting the mp3 player to the computer. Continue holding in the + button while connecting the mp3 player to the computer. After continuing to hold the + button for an additional 10-15 seconds, a window should pop up on your computer screen that says "Found New Hardware Wizard." Proceed with the rest of the steps, and the computer should soon be recognizing your mp3 player again.
