Staining on LCD tv screen

Looks like some one has split something down the screen but nothing has been spilt. The mark seems to be inside, but the screen looks okay when the TV is switched off. Have you any solutions to this.

Re: staining on LCD tv screen

The LCD screen is bad this may have been caused by presure exerted to the screen fracturing the cells of the LCD. any way the LCD is bad and needs replacing.

I can't seem to get my LCD tv to display anything but this screen

Have you tried different connectors? Is it running HDMI? Does it do this when connected to say RCA cables (Red, Yellow). Does this happen when nothing is plugged into the video? Almost looks like a bad HDMI cable.

I have a HL-T5656W DLP TV and i just changed the lamp and now i have some white smudges in a few places but only when the screen is dark or black. I called where i got the lamp from and they said it has...

There is a slight possibility that one of the mirrors inside your tv got dirty from someone touching it when the lamp was changed. If you want to get into it, you would have to pull the back of the tv off and take a look to see if thats the case. If you do find that its dirty, use an lcd wipe to clean it.
Good Luck

Sony Trinitron 32 tv

1) Could be bad CRT ( picture tube )===no green==purple.

 2) Might be lack of green drive to CRT==bad transistor.

Recommend analysis by technician--usually worth it if CRT ok.

Shadow down right side of screen on a toshiba 44NHM84 44" DLP television

shadows at the bottom of the screen sound like moisture that was "wicked up" between the screen layers and dryed out leaving a stain. DO NOT get these screens wet, use nothing but a damp soft cloth; just a few drops of water running down the screen can cause a fairly large stain. Some people have suggested that they may be professionally cleaned, but the risk of damage is too great on the user level.
