Question about M-Audio FireWire 410 External Sound System
I own a M-Audio Firewire 410. Its a couple of weeks old.
Yesterday, when I connected the soundcard to my PC (XP sp2 ) the playback was distorted. The sound distorts when its playing through my workstation (Nuendo) or any other media players (Winamp, iTunes etc..) This problem has never occurred before.
I also connected it to my laptop (Vista 32-bit)which has the updated drivers for the 410 soundcard. It gives the same problem.
The playback through all the outputs are distorted...
Please help me out!
Hello have you disabled all the built on sound cards on your computers? This is a known problem. If you are going to use a great product like M-audio disable any onboard audio card. Then try to use the 410 system. If you still have the problem try changing the latency to 4-5

You might need to Increase the Latency In the FirePod Control panel to a higher/greater value. Try 25.0 ms first just to see if this solution works for you. Then go down from there until you find the line between clean and distortion.

There might be some noise disturbance near the mic, or audio recording device, check if the noise filter is enabled for line in and mic in the multimedia properties or sound properties, you have this option. try it out.
