You should take the usb cable plug it inti the computer then open the thing you use to download music.[mine is windows media player 10] then if it is windows you should see your device pop up on the right pane. then go up to the sync button and left click on the very top/first one.then click and drag the songs you want then when your down go back up to the sync button and yet again hit the sync button and then click on the very top/first one. this SUGGESTION IS ONLY GOING TO WORK IF YOU HAVE WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 10

What drive do you need to put music on a sandisk mp3 player?

Nothing special, if your computer's operating system is recent enough to recognize the Sansa. Just connect the Sansa to your computer and drag&drop your music files over to it.

If you need a driver, you can download it from the manufacturer's web site at

If you want to put videos and/or photos on it, you'll also need the Sansa Media Converter.

try opening it up in rhapsody or windows media player and delete the songs through there.:

  1. open either rhap or wmp
  2. the devices should be in a tab to the left (rhap) or on the top (wmp)
    1. for wmp, it might be in a tab in a tab

  4. and from there delete the music

If you have more than one USB port try another port. If not try downloading Yahoo! Music Jukebox.

I accidentaly sinc music to my sansa e250 from windows media player and it wont come off!!!

Mp3 files can be loaded using either WMP or Windows file manager (Explorer) but a different USB setting is required by each. WMP uses the MTP setting while Explorer uses MSC. If you used the wrong setting this may have caused your problem. Also for some reason MP3 files loaded using a file manager will not appear when trying to view them using WMP. To solve the issue I used the MSC setting to view all of my MP3's using file manager. I then deleted the ones I had recently added, changed the setting back to MTP and reloaded them using WMP. Worked like a charm. Hope that helps.

WMP won't detect my MP3

See if this helps: -Close all programmes on your computer. -Turn off your Sansa e250. -Attach the cable into the USB port of your computer before attaching it into the actual e250. -The scroll wheel on the Sansa should have turned on by now. -Then it's just a matter of waiting for a few seconds. -Try opening Windows Media Player to see if it detects your device. Otherwise, be patient. Goodluck.
