Need a user manual! I just got a Uniden DECT 2188 phone system

I need one! I just got a Uniden DECT 2188 but it does not have the manual and I don't know how to use the features on it and the expansion handset that came with it is not working. The extra handset is on the charger base but it is not "lit up" and there is no dial tone. I don't know if I have to do something in order for the "master" device to recognize the expansion phone but they came together and I am assuming the previous owner used both of them together.
