Want read disc,will not launch downloaded games. no red rings. no error code! any ideals? does not say disc read error.

sounds like you got a disc drive error,do you have any red rings on the front of the xbox???you need to take it to get repaired,,

It sounds like a typical loading error which would point to 2 main issues.
1. your disc is either dirty or scratched.
2. Your laser is out of alignment and needs to be tuned or replaced

Typically it is the disc that is at fault.

Try to troubleshoot by doing the following.

1. Try another disc. Preferably a new disc as then you can be absolutely sure that the disc is not scratched.
2. Try unplugging all the cables and then plug them back in again making sure they are all firm

If there is still no joy after this it is still possible that your AV connection is damaged. This is rare so if you can get hold of another set of working AV leads that is ideal. Maybe take your unit into the store with your game and see if they can try another set of AV leads with your game, or try your game in their machine.

If you cant get to a store and the first 2 options did not solve the issue you may need to send your unit in to get the laser aligned or replaced.

WHY WONT THE GAME READ ANY DISC?

Its called the Red Ring of Death, you need to send your Xbox in to microsoft for repair.

Google "Xbox Red Ring of Death" or "Xbox RROD"

the PS3 laser has two wavelegths at 405nm(bluelight) and 750nm (redlight). the highpower lower wavelength diode on your machine im afraid has failed. The bluray light reads bluray games and bluray dvd's. the lower power red light reads audio cds and regular dvds/dvdrs. you need to install a new laser ..only 100 i charge or 160 from sony (150+TAX+2 week wait+frustration from not playing COD4..lol)
Now if you have the newer model laser KES410ACA, then you have 2 SEPARATE light sources...these tend not to fail as often. it costs the same to fix

you interrupted a dashboard update or you modified your console and didnt do the dashboard install correctly. error 16 means dashboard failure.

u should find out if its chiped or not chiped 360s dont play live cds unless they r burned

Did you get the disc or the console fixed. If it gives u the error saying please insert this disc ito an xbox 360 console, then blow on it and clean everything.
If its a dif error tell me. I no how to fix a couple red-ring problems.

your bluray disc drive is having issues reading the disc it might be the drive call sony do not repair on your own
