I have been trying to refurbish an old model pc (xcel-2000, pcchips M748LMRT) using a slot1 Pentium II processor @450MHz, but there is no way I can get the video adapter working, so that I can configure the BIOS settings. The manual for this mobo says it should used at least one pc-100 MHz SDRAM memory on slot 1 for the video to work, but I don't have a pc-100, instead I am using a 128 MB, pc-133 MHz memory, but the VGA1 video adapter (which is connected to the motherboard) does not work.
The manual for this motherboard can be downloaded from here:http://mldisplay.com.br/m748_v13.pdf.
Please, any help will be greatly appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
Osmany.

Your motherboard does not support PC133 memory.

The Problem could be that the BIOS setting for the shared video memory is set to "disabled". You can fix this by either 1) install a PCI video card temporarily and then making the change to the BIOS to shared memory "enabled" or 2) clear the BIOS settings using JP5 on the motherboard.
Hope this helps.
