Problem for Mitsubishi VS-50609 50 in. Rear Projection Television

I have a Mitsubishi VS 580R rear projection tv.

I have a Mitsubishi VS 580R rear projection tv. When i turn the tv on nothing happens---no picture --no "snow" --nothing. The channel selector shows channel numbers so i know i have power to the tv. Very difficult to find someone to come and look at the tv. Any suggestions??? I am desperate for the tv. THANKS EVERYONE!!
