Homelite 290 manual

I need a chain and bar for a 340 that is the same as a Homelite 290, and was connected to a cement cutting blade, and now I want to use it as a chainsaw.

I have a homelite cs50 and the oil will not lube the blade what can be the problem

If it the oil is being pumped out at the bar mount then the bar is probably clogged and it is needing cleaning. As cutting crooked the can be problem with the way the chain is sharpen or not sharpen. Don't forget check those depth gauges too. Also depending old the bar the rails may be worn one sided.

New Homelite. Cut great for an hour, then the chain wouldn't grip or cut. Chain was loose so I tightened but still doesn't cut- just

The blade is no longer sharp, something not unusual after about an hour of cutting. How long a blade stays sharp depends on what type of wood you're cutting, whether the blade contacted the ground or anything other than wood at any time, and how hard you are working the bar through the wood. If you are cutting hardwood or something like railroad ties the lifespan of the blade is greatly reduced. You can easily sharpen the blade with a hand file or dremel tool with a chain saw blade kit on it or have the blade sharpened. Best practice is to have one or two extra blades so you can change them as they become dull.

The chain will not stay tight. After about i minute of cutting the chain gets loose and jumps off of the bar. I tighten everything really tight after adjusting the tension. It runs and cuts fine until...

On the aduster screw where you tighten blade ... is there an extra nut? I think you need to screw that nut tight so the adjuster screw cannot rotate from vibration.

Chain comes off of homelite electric chain saw ut43120

Make sure the blade is snug on bar. If it is too tight or too loose the chain may kick off.

Backwards chainsaw blade

You remove the two nuts that hold the bar on, then the cover will come off. Don't forget to loosen the adjusting screw next to the bar to loosen it. Also, don't forget that once these two nuts are off, the bar will come off as well.

Need service manual for Homelite 16'' electric chain saw model UT 41320. Motor runs but chain stopped in middle of second cut.

chain is too tight on the bar or is lacking lubrication oil. loosen up the bar nuts and back off the chain tensioning screw a touch. make sure the bar oil reservoir is full and the chain is receiving oil when its running.

Cutting crooked

The chain is not sharpened evenly. One side is cutting faster than the other. Also check to be sure that the bar itself is not worn excessively on one side. The cheapest way to test this is to change the chain.
