Fujitso LIFEBOOK screen

Screen does not light up until computer is well warmed up and then goes black from time to time. Sometimes I can close screen and get it back when I reopen it, but sometimes I can't. It never did this before I sent it away for a power cord repair!

Fujitsu lifebook black screen

Sounds like a bad connection. You will have to open the laptop and verify the connections, front and back of the screen. The ribbon cable behind the screen can sometimes lose contact causing that issue. A bump, drop, jar, will cause the connections to come lose a bit. Use a Can of Electronic Contact Cleaner spray to clean the connections and reseat. If you don't feel comfortable opening the Laptop, take it to a Qualified Computer Tech. Have you connected it to a External Monitor to verify the Graphics Adapter is working correctly?

My lifebook has a black screen but windows running

It could be the monitor or graphics card or CCL are done. Or maybe a simple small switch that shuts-down the light when the lid is closed. I repaired a HP that the switch had "stuck" in the closed position, you could see the screen in the bright sunlight and see the windows OS. The background light,CCL in older machines, was not lit. I once had to access the rear of the monitor, in a laptop, to re-insert a loose ribbon cable that had jared loose causing the screen to go dark.

I have a Fujitsu Lifebook LBS6120 notebook

Turn on as you did before and leave on for 10 minutes. Then, try turning OFF the computer by keeoing the POWER button pressed for 7 secons. If the computer goes off, then your screen is fried and the computer is actually booting up normally... you just can't see it ;)

I have a fujitsu lifebook N6460 the screen flickers and goes out

Sounds like you back light or LCD inverter is going out, If you don't hear a whine then it is just the LCD screen, if you hear that whine then it is the inverter. An inverter will run 40-60 dolloars as opposed to and LCD screen which usually start around 100 and go up...

Hope this helps, if so please rate my solution accordingly.

Since it seems as though you dont move it very much you might be able to hook an external monitor up to it and using the Fn+F5 button swap it to use the external monitor untill you can get it repaired.

My dell latitude d520 was working fine and now when I am on my screen starts running lines from left to right across the screen and then goes blank or black and sometimes comes back on and sometimes it...

if you tap the back of screen and it goes on and off chances are its loose ribbon cable ,
every time you open and close lid , it will tug on it a bit, if the light goes off then inverter problem

I have a dell inspiron 6000 the screen goes black

the lcd screen may be causing this. Try to connect the laptop to an external monitor and have both working at the same time by toggling Fn F8 on the keyboard. Wait until it goes black on the LCD. post back what happens. If the external monitor wont go out when the lcd does, the lcd may have to be replaced. If the monitor goes out too, it's a video card issue which may be resolved by reinstalling the driver.

Screen goes black

. if The screen flickers then turns dark, when you move it or tap it lightly on the sides, it may be due to Failed cable at the back of the screen or LCD
In some cases you might hear a buzzing noise coming from the area where the inverter board is located, it’s on the bottom part of the screen Troubleshooting: If the screen is black, look for the “lid closed” switch and try pushing it a few times. It’s usually a small switch near the hinges that is pressed when the lid(the screen) is closed. Sometimes these switches get stuck in the “lid closed” position that results in black screen(no backlight) or non-starting laptop. Also some laptops have a magnetic switch (newer Dells, most Macs, etc.) that doesn’t get stuck.
The most common failures are (in this order): inverter, “lid closed” switch, cable, LCD, backlight.
the display open the display assembly check the cable fix it tightly and again if no improvement change the inverter PCB
