Question about Hitachi 60SDX88B 60" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Red deflection is way off, picture scrunched into top right corner

The green and blue works fine but the red picture is bent way up into the top right corner. I know electronics but have not got a manual. Last problem was picture shrinking into center and then a snapping sound. TV would sometimes shut off. Cleaned CRT HV caps (rubber ones) and applied HV "glue", waited a day and it seemed ok.

So I do not think the problems are related and am looking for help with this red ctr problem.

Thanks,

Mike

Call 800-648-6657 order part number CZ01341. This is the convergence output ic. You will need to replace the red convergence output ic IK04.

I have a samsung tx-t2782 with red green and blue pinstripe running horizontal across top of screen. not a ground loop and theres no magnetic interference.

hello spins,
If your problem just pinstripe on top of screen , but picture ok (normal in picture), try it to enter the factory mode. In standby position press info-menu-mute-power. Enter to deflection adjustment- choose - vamp (VA) or v shift (VS). Change value data by pressing + (or right cursor) and - (or left cursor) to shift or increasse amp. If it work, your tv will normal.
But its nor working, you should call samsung technician.
Good luck.

We went to auto focus on our tv. It shook wildly the when the picture came back the picture is bent. When looking inside the tv the green and red are being projected bent at the top and bottom. Please...

You need to replace the convergence IC stk392 -110...2 resistors and a fuse. located in the deflection board of your tv and after you can press auto focus and the picture will be normal.

TV Has grean red and Blue lines going through it.

Yes this can be fixed. It is a common problem caused by a failure of the "convergence" circuit. Sometimes in this particular set, just a bad solder connection can cause this (though no shop will admit it). Other times its just a simple part on the Deflection board. The repair should run around $300

Part disclored picture

as it has fallen on the floor

due to that its deflection coil position might  have  changed a little.

due to that its left corner has gone down.

deflection coil has convergence magnet on it so due to that there is change in color also.

please call tech to re position of deflection coil every thing will be fine as it was.

as per buying another it is up to you.

hope this will help.

No picture, just red-blue-green lines through the middle of the screen very faint.

The PT-53WX54 is a standard projection set and does not have a bulb. It has 3 separate picture tubes. If you have lost the picture completely, not even on-screen menu, then something has stopped working in your set. It could be a video processor, vertical deflection or possibly a convergence problem. The set should be serviced by a qualified tech familiar with the Panasonic projection sets.
