Ok yu problem has to be with the protection system before you burn it up it collapses to protect the whole system.....go direc to the thermal cut off devices on the main output and then to the power system......

Any Tape Out (REC) is flat Line Level output for any analog source selected by the RX-V1000.

Or you could just set up Zone 2 as on Page 61 in the manual - with or without the remote capability.

sounds like you need to take it in to have it looked at. no simple fix unless you are an appliance technician. hard to walk a beginner through. i suggest calling an stereo repair guy.

When I hit power button nothing lights up but I hear the subwoofer power on but still no sound. It's as if it wasn't getting power.

Try disconnecting everything from the back of the system and unplugging it form the wall for a couple of minutes. Plug it back in and try poering it on. You may google search "diagnostics boot" or "error boot" with you model number and see what comes up. There is a fuce inside you could check, usually to the back right on Yamaha receivers. This doesn't sound likely due to your subwoofer sound though....maybe.
I bought about 70 receivers that were last years models from Yamaha, Denon, Sony Bravia, etc. Most worked but some required fixing. Some where easy as fuses, blown capacitors (visually), then some are still in my storage LOL. I hope this helps. By the wy, you can always purchase a repair/diagnostics manual that repair shops use with diagrams and trouble shooting tips for your particular model.

GOoD luck

I personally would not tackle this. Try the Yamaha dealership, perhaps they can help.

Display is permanently "off" on the Yamaha RX-V620

Sounds like the LED that lights up the display has burnt out. An easy fix, if you're not afraid to take the front panel apart and resolder a new one.
