Question about PC Desktops
It's a Compaq Presario SR1115CL. We knocked it over on it's side, and now we can't get it work. We tired the recovery that is build in and once it runs, it states it cannot locate the system start-up or set-up file and states that I must use the original set-up CD. I don't have that CD. If you need to know exactly what it states, I can get it and resend this. I do not know much at all about PC's, so talk slow. I did take the side off and checked for loose connections, didn't see any.
There's a partition on your hard drive that has a recovery section. it is from here that you create "start up" disks my wife has a presario sr1503wm and we created a set of ten start up, recovery disks for it. you can go to the compaq-hp site and download the drivers necessary to boot up the machine using a different computer. I think compaq offers six floppies to get you going again.
