I have Dirt Devil Kone (charcoal), Model 0213, Plant l, MFG code GOA. When vacuum is put on the base, the small, white, dot light comes on as if it is just charging. Taking the vacuum from the base and push the power button on top, nothing happens. Push the power button on and off but still no power.

The light on the Roomba red doesn't come on when docked or plugged directly into the charger. In both cases the charger light is on and when docked the charge and docked light is on. Is this a problem with the unit or the battery??

I've now owned 2 of these. In both cases, the charger base stopped charging.

The first one worked great for a few months, then suddenly, when I put
it in the charger, the red light wouldn't turn on. Not knowing what
the problem was, I bought a 2nd one to test it.

Sure enough, when I put the old dustbuster in the new charger, it worked fine.

So I wound up with 2 dustbusters, and 1 charger. No problem.

Now, less than a year later, the 2nd charger base is refusing to charge.

    Stupid thing.

DO NOT buy this product, unless you want to just burn your money.

The charger may be bad. The red light shows that power is applied to it. So usally, unless the light itself is bad, no red light, no power.

New Roomba Battery Not Holding Charge - charged once then died

It is possible for the charging system inside the roomba to call it quits. What I did to remedy this, since my roomba was out of warranty and I did not want to scrap it, was to buy a charging base on ebay. This charging base accepts different types of roomba batteries and even the scooba battery. The inconvenience is if you have a newer model roomba that has the battery inside, then you will need to remove the screws on the bottom plate to remove the battery. Hope this helps.

Should the red light on my 15.6v dustbuster turn green when it's fully charged? It doesn't.

I had the same issue, then i just found the manual, in charging part, it says:"The charging indicator will be lit as long as the
appliance is connected to the plugged-in
Also it says:"While charging, the charger may get warm, this is
perfectly normal and safe. It can remain on
charge indefinitely without damage or danger. It
is not possible to "overcharge" the battery cells
with the charger provided"

Dirt devil doesn[t hold charge

Try running the battery all the way down by letting the vacume run in a corner or another room and even when it stops leave it on for a hour to drain the battery. Then shut the switch off and try charging the battery. Make sure the charger is putting out enough volts by looking at the rated output of the charger and while it is plugged in check it with a volt meter. If it does not hold a charge and the charger is putting out the right voltage you need to purchase a new battery for the vacume

New battery. Charged for 24 hours. Light is green, but after 20 seconds light turns red and it stops.

There's a chance that the battery you bought is bad. There's a greater chance that the problem is with the charger. If you're using the dock to charge, try plugging the charger directly into the roomba just to rule that out. If that doesn't fix the problem, I would try borrowing or buying a new charger, and see if that works. If a new charger and new battery don't solve the problem, the problem must be with your roomba itself.

My iRobot scooba won't turn on after a full charge

Do you have the charger terminal, or do you have the charger that you have to take out the battery and charge. Because I have found that my base terminal charger works better than the battery charger that needs the battery to be removed to charge. If you have the terminal charger and the power light is green when it is in the charger I would start from the terminal
