If they still show when you look for them in the camera, they're probably retrievable. Plug in the camera, but instead of using the camera software on your computer, look at your Computer for the camera, or removable HD listed with the C: drive and other devices, locate the DCIM folder, find the pics, drag where you want them.
Sounds like the drive gear is extremely dirty, broken or the drive motor is damaged.
You could try forcing it by pulling/pushing it when power is turned on/off but I would take it to a qualified service center.

> use ur usb cable
> take out ur memory card, buy USB CARD READER OR A LITTLE USB THAT U CAN PUT MEMORY CARD IN then either put in correct slot or put in the dongle and plug in comp voila!
