MDBTT60awb - Does Not Clean Thoroughly

I have posted it here .. because I could not find a appropriate model number.
The unit has recently started leaving small amounts of residue on the dishes.
It is NOT an issue of dried or caked on food...
Especially noticeable on the (upside down) cups
I use the tab variety of soap
The jet dry is full

We have had this problem with our Maytag dishwahser also. I believe the garbage digester unit is not functioning properly. I make a point to rinse thoroughly the dishes now and it works better.

I have a MDB5600AWW that has this same exact symptom.

    Serial number is: 14174540AX

The internal filters are clean, and I checked the holes in the wash arms, and they are not plugged.

    Can you help ?

Have provided the number you requested - now what ??

  • 36dodge Jan 31, 2008

Same problem as described by others. Cups, glasses, mugs, etc. on top rack have small particles of debris in them. We have increased water temp, used different rinse aid and detergent brands, rinsed dishwasher with vineager, cleaned wash arms and filters. Two Maytag techs have tried to solve problem, nothing helps.

How to change filter

Hello Connie - Thank you for your post! The filter is recommended to be clean after 250 hours of operation and when the FILTER RESET light illuminate. Some air conditioner filters can be removed by sliding out from the right-hand side. Others, you need to push the vent handle to the Vent Closed position and open the front panel. Grasp the filter by center and pull up and out the filter can be wash using liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water. Rinse filter thoroughly. Gently shake excess water from the filter. Be sure filter is thoroughly dry before replacing. Keep in mind that instead of washing you may vacuum the filter clean as well. Once the filter has been cleaned, to extinguish the light simply press the FILTER button and the unit should resume to normal operations. However, if you are referring to a filter replacement part, most parts can be purchased directly from the manufacturer or through a parts distributor in your area (part numbers may vary based on distributor). The part number for the model number posted above FAC107P1A is 5304448298. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reconnect!

I have a maytag dishwasher model mdbtt60awb 07 year. Want to wash a load of dishes it keeps poping over to rinse only

In the bottom of the unit on the LH side (9 o'clock) of the pump / motor there is the turbidity sensor. This sensor is supposed to sense the soil level in the water and determine how many times the dishwasher rinses until there is no more debris in the water. If this OPTICAL (infared) sensor gets covered with food particulate or fails you can have the symptom your describing. Remove the sensor and clean off the eye bu flushing the unit as best you can. Reinstall it and then try it again.

The part number of the sensor is: 99003613 but has been replaced by PN W10120019

Here is yet another PN for the same sensor:

As long as this sensor is telling the control panel the water is dirty it will always rinse.

For an installed position of the sensor see item 11 this link:

You may have to shop areound for this sensor as it is not a commonly stocked item and has a 7 - 14 day delivery time.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

Maytag MDBtt60awb will not start. Power definitely at dishwasher as panel lights are on, however "start" button does nothing. Dishwasher is less than 2 years old. The panel buttons eventually turn off. ...

most likely you have a bad motor when replacing the motor ihave found it is cheaper to get the pump with the motor attached where as they charge you more money for just the motor or the pump seprately try allbrands appliance parts they seem to be cheaper

Smell under the unit, kenmore elite model number 44703

Hi: Not knowing your model number I would look where the milk was spilled and see if there is a hole. Possibly behind a panel for the defrost water. If so pour a little clorox bleach ane water in it. If not look for any cracks in the liner of your fridge. Those will expose the foam insulation to absorb the milk and cause odors. Clean them and seal them with teflon tape or a repair kit from the manufacture. On the off chanch the mild spilled to the front of the fridge and leaked behing the front grill the coils there are quite warm and will spoil milk fast. Pull the grill off and clean. I hope this helps, Jeff

96 dr200 sittig up for 2 yrs. starving for fuel

Get some carb cleaner. Remove and clean the Nozzle, choke and main jet. Remove the pilot jet and air jet but count the number of turns to remove each one and put them back the same number of turns. Don't mess with the needle or clip or the pilot screw and plug at this time. Clean the carb thoroughly. Don't get carb cleaner on the diaphragm. If able, submerge the carb in cleaner overnight.
