Question about Emerson MW8102SS 1100 Watts Microwave Oven

Front panel of the door just came off in my hand -

Is there any way to safely stick it back on? There isn't a "visible" way to reattach it that we can see.

The inside hinge assembly may have to be changed. The hinge assembly may be defective. Some of the parts may have fallen inside, and must be found or replaced as necessary.

You cannot simply put a door back on a microwave oven even if you changed the hinge assembly.

If you have any issues with the door or case assemblies, the proper radiation testing has to be performed to make sure that there is no microwave radiation leakage when the unit is being operated. This is very serious!

Any door repair like this has to be done by a technician who has a

Our Kenmore Microwave Hood combo model # 401.88529011 door sticks and is very hard to open off and on

Possible that the door lock is jammed, it can also be due to jamming of the door switch or the plastic lock being stuck on.
You need to remove the front panel , and reset the door assembly.

The 2 hooks(latch) inside the door have lost spring tension.

For no apparent reason, the latch broke on the 9187 ST. Take the door off of the microwave, which isn't too hard. Rotate the door to 90 degrees, lift up, and slide it to the left. Place the door on the counter, latch side up. Use a thin knife or screwdriver to lift the panel that covers the latch. It is very easy to remove it from the door. Then slide the latch up and lift is out. The spring is under the latch. The clip on the latch that held the spring was fractured. So, I drilled a tiny hole in the body piece from where the clip extended. I reattached the spring to the latch, replaced the panel, replaced the door, and it is as good as new.

Model # JVM1870W07-what is the easiest way to change these-was able to get the bulbs out-but can't the new ones in-hard to see the holes from the back

HELLO.The easiest and only solution is given below.

things you need
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • 40-watt replacement bulb

1 Unplug the microwave and open the door.
2 Remove the screws from the front grill and pull it off of the oven. The screws are located on the underside of the grill.
3 Pull the light bulb housing toward you through the access panel.
4 Unscrew the old light bulb and replace it with the new 40-watt light bulb.
5 Rotate the light bulb housing toward the back of the oven. Reattach the grill with the screws and plug the microwave back into the electrical outlet.

Display blinking with thermostat or grill knob turned in top oven part number 49558

This problem is almost always due to a defective or loose magnetron causing electrical interference and disruption in the control circuit board.
One way to test it is to do the following:
NOISY MAGNETRON TEST (c) 2009 William E. Miller
1. Unplug the microwave or turn off its breaker.
2. Open the door, then detach the control panel as shown in the video at and swing it down, but without disconnecting the wires. If you have any trouble getting the grille off once the screws are removed, slide the hood vent grille to the left about 1/4", then then pull it forward. On some models there are L-shaped clips that fit into a slot to hold bottom of the vent.
3. Plug the microwave back in.
4. Make sure neither you nor anyone else reaches in behind the control panel. There will exposed high-voltage connections.
5. Put a few cups worth of water in a microwave-safe container and place it inside the microwave.
6. Shut the door.
7. Run the microwave for about 1 minute or so on full power. (Time Cook > 1 > 0 > 0 > Start, e.g.)
8. If it does not fail, try it several more times.
9. When the water boils, change the water and try again.
NOTE: If your model does not have a door handle, you will need to unplug the oven and reattach the control panel to be able to open the door.
If it still does not fail, I would recommend that you put it all back together and keep using it until it fails more consistently, then repeat this test.
While a microwave should never be left running unattended under any circumstances (as your owner's manual will tell you) it's even more important when one is exhibiting a failure or any odd behavior. So play it safe and stay with it while it's running!
If you or someone you know want to replace the magnetron yourself, you will need to remove the oven from the wall.
Hope this helps you.

Need help replacing handle on whirlpool microwave model MH1150XM

Remove two screws on top at front in order to remove plastic front vent grill. Then the door lifts off pin hinges. Lay door flat on surface. Plastic trim snaps off with gentle prying (start at bottom middle and bottom hinge side). Then remove six screws holding notched metal section with door latch. This piece will also snap out (several visible clips holding it around edges). Then remove door handle screws, Replace handle and reverse process to put back together.

The handle broke on a stainless steel whirlpool microwave

Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the screws you need to remove.
