WRT54G2 wired desktop fine, can't connect to wireless.

Hi Seth6025,

Try without using Wireless Encryption (password).

Try changing channels; default is 6; try 1 or 11.
Change your SSID: personalize it
SSID broadcast: Enable

Check the advanced wireless settings and make sure MAC filtering - DISABLED.

Reset the Linksys router by pressing RESET for 30 seconds should everything fails and re-configure. Firmware is another consideration BUT this is just a new release.

Angel

My pro-82 scanner scans threw all channels but will not pick up any frequencies?

To verify that the scanner is working properly, program one or more of the weather frequencies(162.4, 162.425, 162.45, 162,475, 162.5, 162.525, 162.55, 161.65, 161.775, 163.275) into memory and then scan. NOTE: Not all frequencies are in use in all areas, so you may need to try several. If you receive the weather broadcasts, then you may need to adjust the squelch setting on your scanner to receive local signals. You also need to verify that the frequencies programmed into the scanner are valid, active frequencies in your area. For a comprehensive database of active frequencies in your area, and a lot of other useful scanning information, visit:

www.RadioReference.com

If the scanner fails to receive the weather broadcasts, you need to check the antenna connections inside the unit and/or have the scanner checked/repaired by a qualified technician.

Turned on set....screen all black except a dark blue rectangle in center which reads:Failed to receive broadcast [E202]

That message is presented when a selected digital channel is too weak to decode. Let us hope that something was accidentally changed:

Is the channel legitimate?
Is the antenna/cable still connected (to the Digital input)?
Go into menu - setup - channel setup. Is the selection of either cable or air channels correct for your situation?
Use menu - setup - Antenna Setup-DIGITAL to examine the signal strength. Is there nothing at all, or is it just a question of strength?

Odds favor a change in channel setup that you would not have made intentionally, or a simple physical problem (input cable, etc.). Start from scratch, and check the settings and connections you originally made. Hopefully it will be simple and cheap!

Sharp Aquos LC-52D64U LCD-52 wdscrn tht won't scan in digital...

Seeing that you have a superior brand and not getting channels is a bummer. It may have to do with the setting, make sure you're set to cable rather antenna and then do a rescan. Btw, often times channels from an over the antenna is much clearer than from cable because cable tv has to compress the signal. If you're high in the air like the top floor of a building a cheap $10 will pull in great free digital channels. It helps to experiment and read the troubleshooting guide in your manual.

Can not connect to wireless router type P-660HW with vista

To resolve this issue, disable the DHCP BROADCAST flag in Windows Vista. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Click Start
Collapse this image Expand this image
Start button
, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then click regedit in the Programs list.

Collapse this image Expand this image
User Account Control permission
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\{GUID}
In this registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the network adapter that is connected to the network.
3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD (32-bit) Value.
4. In the New Value #1 box, type DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle, and then press ENTER.
5. Right-click DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle, and then click Modify.
6. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
7. Close Registry Editor.
8. restart your computer

By setting this registry key to 1, Windows Vista will first try to obtain an IP address by using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets. If that fails, it will try to obtain an IP address without using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets.

37 inch Sharp Aquos. "Failed to receive Broadcast [E202]"

This is basically a message for no signal on the tv, make sure the tv itself is on the correct input for the type of cable used. The inputs are labled by numbers on the back of the tv. The input can be changed by the button on the side panel of the tv.

Dolby digital problems

When using analog cables, switch the setting on the amp to 5CH STEREO or 7CH depending on your speaker configuration. This will give you consistant audio. Another option is to use either optical or SPDIF for digital sound. Good Luck.
