My Compaq laptop will not boot up. It gets only

This is only a symptom of a falire un the hard disk, you can either format and install new windows or simply replace the hard drive hope it helps.

Tturn on your computer, then, before the windows boot screen appears, press the F8 key, this should bring up the start options , if it does not, turn off , turn back on and try again.
On the start options use the up/down arrows on keyboard to select "last known good configuration", press the enter key. Windows should start as normal if it does not do the process again but instead select "safemode" .
