iBook G4 boot sequence never shows the gray apple and the little spinning ring. It eventually goes from black screen to the boot condition. The iBook currently has no battery installed.
This laptop suffers from a known condition of the logic board and bad flow issues of the ic board chip where your left palm rests on the keyboard. You gonna have ta get the logic reflowed or install a new logic board. This process is a real pain in the as. because the computer is a real bit.h to open. The Apple techs put like 20 million screws of varying lengths and shapes to really pi.s us service techs off when we try to service these things.
