Question about Creative Labs Zen V MP3 Player

Creative zen v mp3 player

Hi, I have a new pc running windows vista and my creative zen v mp3 player cannot be recognised by pc and will not sync files. I am not very IT savvy but it seems to be something to do with drivers. My printer also is not being recognised and my driver download attempt for the printer didn't work and I was on pc for hours! Can you advise me on this please as I don't want to end up totally frustrated again with no results, thanks, Mary.

Re: creative zen v mp3 player

Vista doesn't have the support yet for a lot of things printers and MP3's included. It uses a new system for storing driver information and many companies just don't want to make new drivers for old products or they are having trouble with the new driver scheme the best advice i can give you is to go to the manufacteur's website and look for a vista compatable driver. That's really all that can be done unfortunately.

My creative software for Zen Sleek Photo won't load on Vista

Vista by default will support the Zen Sleek Photo as an MTP device, which means that Windows Media Player will recognize it as well as Explorer.

You can use WMP to sync music to it, and Explorer to drag/drop photos to it.

Can't Add files to mp3 after reinstalling-device not found.

I have an older ZEN, so I'm not sure if I have Creative Media Source 5, but mine never worked really well either. My Windows Media Player recognizes mine, so I just sync to that library. I even have gotten a new laptop since I got my ZEN and I never downloaded anything, I just connected it to Window's Media. I hope that's helpful!

Mp3 file transfer to zen micro?!

Visit Creative Support and navigate to your mp3 player. Next download the driver for this player. Then all you need to do to transfer mp3 files is connect your player (while it's on) to your PC, open up Windows Media Player, go to the sync tab, drag the files you want on your player into the sync list on the right side of the screen and slick start sync.

Zen micro firmware problem

I just got a ZEN Micro 4GB player for free due to Firmware problem. This totally fixed the firmware issue. Windows XP PC with Media Player 10 and the latest driver and firmware from creative. Once I had all that I plugged in my player, let it recognize and then re-flashed to latest firmware. BAM now the play is working perfectly and I can sync music to it. Thanks for the fix.

Creative Zen Vision M - unable to connect to ANY PC or Xbox

How to make Creative vision m, find the computer.

Connect your creative with U. S. B. cable.
Go to my computer, click on right button on mouse go to properties, click on hardware tab, click on device manager button , scrawled to creative logo press on right button on mouse and press on update drives. This worked for me on both of my computers now I can charge my creative and transfer of the files to it with no problems.

Good luck.

there might still be hope. If you downloaded firmware version 2.11.01 it will not be recognized by creative organizer; you will need to install plugins to make creative organizer recognize it again. Go to --> downloads and follow the links to download the plugins. There are 1 or 2 to download. Do you have windows media player 10? If so then the zen should be recognized in wmp 10 and you can download songs that way. If you have windows media player 11, you will need to roll back to windows media player 10 for it to be recognized. NOTE: if you don't use windows media player to sync songs, then just ignore everything I said about it.
