Question about LG CU500 Cellular Phone
I have tried 2 LG CU500s to work with Cellular One. They were both advertised as "unlocked". When I put the SIM card in the new one from my Motorola RAZR, it just displayed "Network unavailable" when trying to make a call. The same thing happened with the 2nd one I tried (a used phone) except that it rendered the SIM card useless. It won't even work in my RAZR now. The RAZR displays no signal strength bars and "Call failed" when I try to make a call. Is it possible these phones still have a lock even though neither of them complained about my SIM card?
The LG CU500 is a 3G phone I think. You may need to change your SIM CARD to 3G. I had a razor and my Sim didn't work with the LG CU320 I bought. Also unlocking a LG phone is a little more troublesome that other phones. I found a solution on the web. sorry I don't remember the website address, but it comes up in any google search. Hope this helps.
