Stove top or oven will not heat

When I turn on the heating elements they will not heat up. The indicator lights turn on as if they are working but they are not. This same issue occured several days ago but all of the sudden it began working. Help

Stove top will not work except for simmer and warm. Oven and broiler will not turn on. This stove is 12 1/2 months old, so is out of warranty. I called Sears to ask if there is a button to push to fix, but they would not help over the phone. Whoever heard of a stove that breaks after 12 1/2 months?

I have the fisher paykel pepper electric stove top and oven at home. the stove is working just fine, but below it the oven turns on but it doesnt heat up. what should i do?

When you say that the oven turns on I assume that the oven indicator light is working. If this is so there will be only two likely causes for the oven not working.
Oven element is faulty - check by performing continuity test;
Wiring at oven element terminals burnt off - check visually.
If you are handy carry out the above. If not, call a repairman.

Lower oven does not work. Ind. light comes on but no heat

It sounds like your heater element is burnt out. Get a volt meter.unplug the stove.take off the back,disconnet one of the wires connected to the element and test it. It should read aproximately 11 ohms if good. if a high or no readind,the element needs replacing.
