How to adjust time on a d-link xtrem n dir-655

the manual is free , at dlink dot com
you push the reset button for long time per manual 15sec (iirc)
the release it and now all defaults are set.
per the manual, google dir-655 manual.
easy as pie if you just read the manual.

reset your router again and run the wizard for the configuration.

Setup you router from here. Your default password:"admin" with no users name.

Look on router ID plate for REVISION.

Hi!

what's your modem? if you have DSL, you might need to bridge it & set your DSL UN & PW on the router..

change the time zone under the router and set the time manually and disable system or internet time inside

I would suggest you try to change the channel to a higher one and this solves this problem most of the times...You need to go to your router configuration to do that usually by opening a browser and type 192.168 ... and log in into your router...Hope this helps.

Any one with a mac ... MAKE SURE "Enable Auto Channel Scan : " is OFF.

CHANGE the name of the WIFI Network.

SET the Channel to CH11 [Others interfere with phone signals]

SET Security to WPA, TKIP Cypher, 3600. Then enter your password [min 8 all lowercase chrs] Change it when you are working.

Save and unplug the router and you will be fine.
