Copy all the files from the pen-drive to your 'C:' drive.
Open "My Computer".
Right-mouse click on the icon for the pen-drive.
Click "Format".
Choose "quick-format".
When the "format" completes, it should show the full size.
Copy all the files back onto the pen-drive.

normaly pen drives CANNOT be more than 2GB....all those pen drives being sold as 4GB, 6 GB are just fakes....when u buy them new they will have 4GB...it's in compressed format, once u have an error/issue, and format it....once that'd done then it will come down to 1 gb or 2 gb...
with respect to password in pen drive i have not come across that in my exp...so cant help there...

Pendrive is not working

ic, maybe the usb port of your friend's pc is defective which may cause your pen drive to malfunction, probably a shorted usb port. or just maybe your pendrive was dropped by your friend which damage the drive, it happened to me too before.
