How to deactivate quiet mode

You can simply change by changing the profile on your phone, if the phone is put on silent profile then it will be in a quite mode, go to the menu of the phone, then select settings, select phone settings, there you will see phone profile, then select Normal profile, this will deactivate the quite mode of the phone. Depending of the phone you are using, like my samsung d780, I simply hold down the # key to deactivate the silent mode, check your phone keypad as well to see if there is a key like that, but if there is no key like that simply follow the steps I put above. Thanks

Most Samsungs can be toggled in and out of silent mode by pressing and holding the '# key'. Otherwise you have to change it in the profiles section in your main menu.
Hope that helps?

Samsung d900

To place the handset in silent / vibrate mode follow the steps below: To place the handset in Silent Mode, hold down the pound key (#) for about 2 seconds. To exit Silent Mode, perform the same action while in Silent Mode. You will see a confirmation message for Silent Mode, each time you enter or exit Silent Mode. The phone will vibrate rather than ring when you receive a phone call, message or alert while in silent / vibrate mode.

e340 supposed problem Good day. My daughter has had a Samsung E-340 for 13 months (as luck would have it, one month outside of warranty). The phone developed a slight problem, it froze occasionally while my daughter was creating a text message. We took it into the agent who immediately sent it away for "repair". We received the phone back with a R340.00 bill and we were informed that it was a software problem and the software needed to be reloaded - rubbish. They cleared out the phone of all text messages as well as phone numbers - I thought it was good practice to inform the customer before this was done. We switched on the phone, it froze immediately, and continued to do so on a more regular basis. We returned the phone for a second time, this time we were informed that it was not the phone but the network - rubbish. If it was indeed the network, all the phones in Pretoria would have been sitting in the agents office. The phone was in an even worse condition, the screen flashed at will and just switched off on it own accord, we returned it again to the agent and he himself acknowledged that is was in a much worse state that the previous visit(s). The phone was returned once again, this time the phone didn't even switch on, the agent tried a new battery and still no joy. The excuse this time was that this particular phone does deteriorate gradually and then die completely. I find this hard to believe, especially after only 13 months. This is not a good advert or indeed support for what I think is a good product, until of course our recent experience. Is there anyone out there who can help us with this rather painful problem. I repeat, not only is the publicity bad but the actual support does not exist. Kind regard
