How do i turn on and off my mother board

how do i turn on and off my mother board to bypass sytem password when tuning on my comp? i did a restore,it woked,then 1 day,it loaded in and went to black sceen wanting a system password,i was told i can by pass this..is this true?

removed the battery of your motherboard then try to run your computer without the battery installed in your motherboard this will reset your bios factory default so no need a system password.
