Netgear DGB111G Starter Kit

Since installing the above my computer keeps locking up even while writing this it happened and I have to reboot and start again.
I have moved the unit away from a cordless phone and logitect unit that works my cordless mouse and key board which has helped but not solved the problem.
What should I do? Move the netgear to another room? In any office you have such things as cordless phones etc, are these interferring with the signal?
Please keep it simple in reply as I am not an expert I just use the dam things.
One good thing is that internet connection is 100% BETTER using this netgear.
