- Go to control panel in My Computer, then go to Sounds and Audio Devices.- Go to the tab labeled audio and where it says sound playback click volume and make sure you volume control is not muted. If it still doesn't play music make sure the plug from your speakers is plugged into the green plug in the back of your computer- Make sure also to plug it from an outlet if it uses electricity If the above troubleshooting still didn't work, go to Control Panel, then System, find Device Manager. Click the Sound, video and game controller, then right-click the soundcard installed then click Properties. Check for the device status if it is working properly, otherwise if other message status is there, try to find a new driver on the net.

Connect to the internet, and get a free download of Realtek 97 audio driver. Then, run and reinstall this in your IBM Thinkpad. Then, you can listen again to the music and sound of your fab movies. Send us your e-mail comment.
If this is a brand PC, or a laptop, look into the factory website, for example Dell, Packard bell, Acer, Sony, IBM, Toshiba etc.
If this is a no brand computer, and you do not have sound card, you can either try reading motherboard code inside the machine, and find drivers on motherboard website, or install a new sound card , that is not expensive.
If you cannot find the drivers, enter on google : "PCI sound adapter" or "USB external sound adapter", to find prices for a new sound card.
