PARKING BRAKE BYPASS. VM9311TS
1) Insert the DVD and you'll get the blue screen.
(If you have more than one tv,
the unit itself will have the blue screen but the additional tv's you
have plugged in will NOT, they will show the dvd menu. Thus you will be
able to see the hidden menu on the additional screens after inputting
the code, but not on the main unit because of its blue screen.)
2) On the main remote, push stop twice and then 1, 2, 6, 4
3) Push the joystick on the unit SOUTH twice and then click it once.
4) Press SYS SETUP on the main remote twice to save your settings.
It
may take a few tries but you'll get it. This method can be done if you
don't want to bother temporarily activating the brake sequence, but if
you only have the unit and no additional tv's, its #$%^&* damn
hardbecause you can't see the settings your changing.

The 1st solution is not the best,it does not explain anything. It is very generic.Go buy a toggle switch and try to follow its directions.Hoped you saved your receipt.Or you did not burn up the unit, trying to guess where this switch oon the back of the dvd player is located(or what wires they might be).Instead, borrow a freinds portable dvd player,or any type of extra tv screen.Borrow a monitor from one of your ballin freinds for a second and hook up a yellow video wire to your dvd player.THEN follow the steps givin to you by cds1320. a.k.a solution #2. I used my portable dvd player I got for the beach.
There is a switch on the back of the player that will allow you to view the dvd's while you are driving. You just have to plug in a simple toggle switch with black and red wire connections. From there you can toggle the switch off for 4 seconds when you put a dvd in, and then turn it back on. This will allow you to view the dvd's with no problem. The other solution above is to much work.

SOURCE: how do i bypass the parking brake switch in order for my video to play
hook the pink wire to a toggle switch and ground the switch to the chassis. when the unlawfull screen comes on then turn the switch on for a few seconds then back off for a few seconds then back on and the screen should go away. I done this with mine and it works. unfortunately you have to do this every time.
