Question about Nokia N95 Cellular Phone
Hi! this is Dhang of San Pedro, Laguna
It started when i'm updating my N95 8GB. It was connected with the PC that time because there's a notice from the computer to keep the device connected. Meaning, do not disconnect or turn off the phone as long as its still processing the update because the phone might encounter a software problem or i might not be able to use my phone again so i was following what it was telling me. I didn't disconnect or turn my phone off while it was still updating. I was thinking it would take a little bit longer so I went out of the room for about 5 to 10 minutes and then when i come back, i saw my phone was already turned off by itself and i saw a notice from the computer that my phone's battery was low and needed to be charge it also tells me to connect the charger of the phone so i connected the charger immediately to the phone but after that it started already the biggest problem i encountered with my phone. I can no longer open my phone. you can open it but nothing appears to the lcd screen as in blank and nothing else. the'res a back lights still but its empty even i turn it on or i already taken out the battery and my sim card but its still empty.
Please tell me what are the could be possible reasons for this problem and what i should do about this or can u suggest any alternative solution for this problem to which i myself can possibly do aside or before bringing it to the service centers of nokia.
Thanks! Its a bit long already. I'll wait for the reply a.s.a.p. please because i need my phone to be repaired. Its really important for me.
Thanks again and its nice to use your site.
It's a bit late for this advise but here it is anyway:
When updating software on Mobs, be sure to:
HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY INSERTED;
PUT IT ON GENERAL PROFILE;
TURN OFF YOUR PIN NUMBER;
CONNECT YOUR CHARGER TO YOUR MOB AND SWITCH IT ON;
DO NOT-----DO NOT---- TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE THE UPDATE IS GOING ON;
THIS CAN TAKE 30 MINUTES OR MORE.
And obviously don't unplug the phone from the PC.
Be patient, you may have to do a restart or two on your mob afterwards. Even remove the battery to get it going again. But give it plenty of time.
The Nokia people should be able to restore the original settings, at a price.
I did an update on a Sony Eric 810i it took nearly two hours.
